JILAEE Research Assistants

Research assistants at JILAEE are typically Bachelor or Master students that are essential to our research projects.  Research Assistants Team

  • Panteleymon Semka

    Panteleymon is an undergraduate student studying physics and economics at the University of Chicago. He graduated from Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires in 2020 and joined JILAEE in 2021. His areas of interest include economic development and behaviour with regard to the Argentine context.

  • Horacio Medina

    Horacio joined the team in September 2019 and is currently a student of the M.A. in Economics program at UCEMA. He has been a teaching assistant at UCEMA since 2020. He is currently an associate at PwC. His main fields of interest are Experimental Economics, Macroeconomics and Behavioral Economics

  • Franco Albino

    Franco is a 3rd year student of the Bachelor of Economics at UCEMA. Among his areas of interest are Microeconomics and Environmental Economics.

  • Federico Obermann

    I am a 3rd-year student of the Bachelor's Degree in Economics at UCEMA. I am interested in Financial Markets, Experimental Economics and Behavioral Economics.

  • Brayant De León-Duarte

    Brayant is an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago studying Mathematics and Economics. He has been part of JILAEE since November 2022. His areas of interest include Development Economics and Experimental Economics.

  • Juan Cruz Duhalde

    Juan Cruz is a student of the Bachelor of Economics at UCEMA. His main areas of interes are Institutional Economics, Monetary Economics and Behavioral Economics.

  • Clara Pinasco

    Clara is a 3rd year student of the Bachelor´s degree of Business Analytics at UCEMA. Among her areas of interest are Data Analytics and Machine Learning. She joined the JILAEE team in April 2023

  • Bruno Pelaccini

    Bruno is an undergraduate student in his third year of the Bachelor's Degree in Economics at UCEMA. His main interests are Macroeconomics, Experimental Economics and Econometrics. He joined the JILAEE team in April 2023.

  • Antonio Eiro Carneiro

    Antonio Carneiro is an undergraduate student studying Applied Economics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. He is also currently completing a diploma in Law at the same university. His areas of interest include law and economics and industrial organization economics. He’s been a part of JILAEE since January 2021.

  • Tomas Kay

    Tomas Kay is an IB student at Gulliver Prep in Miami, Florida. His main areas of interest are Applied Mathematics, Economics, and Labor Economics. He’s been a part of JILAEE since July 2023.

  • Adam Rangel

    Adam is an undergraduate Economics student at the University of Chicago. He joined the JILAEE team in August 2023. Among Adam’s areas of interest are Developmental Economics and Regulatory Capture with a focus on Latin America.

  • Marco Di Giacomo

    Marco has a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires and is currently a first year-student at the M.A. in Economics program at UCEMA. His areas of interests include Experimental Finance, Experimental Macroeconomics, and the development of NLP tools

  • Juan Martín Favetto

    Juan is an undergraduate student of Economics at UCEMA. He started as an RA at the Friedman Hayek Center for the Study of a Free Society, in 2022. His fields of interest include the study of institutions within cultural frameworks and monetary policy. When doing research, his main concern are the epistemological underpinnings.

  • Martina Lacoma

    Martina is doing a masters in economics at the CEMA university. She has a bachelor in electrical engineering in systems engineering and a bachelor in economics from the University of Ottawa. She joined Jilaee in September 2023. Her main areas of interest are microeconomics, financial engineering, financial economics and systems science.

  • Dasha Khamaza

    Dasha is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago, majoring in Economics and Spanish. Areas of interest include experimental, environmental, and development economics, particularly in the Latin American context.
